Road Closures
Several roads in the CBD of Bathurst will be temporarily closed for the Bathurst Winter Festival.
Taxi zones, disabled parking areas and general parking availability will also be affected.
Temporary Road Closures
- Russell Street between William Street and George Street will be closed from 6am Thursday 27 June to 6am Saturday 27 July 2024. Pedestrian access will remain to the Civic Centre, Bathurst Court House and Historical Society building.
- Church Street between William Street and George Street will be closed from 6am Saturday 6 July to 6am Monday 8 July and 6am Friday 12 July to 6am Monday 15 July.
Temporary No Parking
Taxi Zones
- The Russell Street taxi zone will be relocated to the existing taxi zone on Church Street from Thursday 27 June to Saturday 27 July. There will be no access to the Church Street taxi zone on the first two festival weekends.
- On the first two festival weekends, the taxi zone will be relocated to the corner of George Street & Russell Street, across from the Western Advocate (6, 7, 12, 13, 14, July).
Bus Zone
- The Russell Street bus zone near the Court House will be relocated to Russell Street in front of Steel & Co from Thursday 27 June to Saturday 27 July.
Parking
- Event Parking - On street parking within the Bathurst CBD is advised.
- Accessible Parking - A designated accessible parking zone will be located on the corner of George Street and Russell Street, across from the Western Advocate and on the William Street end of Kings Parade. An additional disabled parking zone will be located on the Kings Parade side of Church Street between William Street and George Street for Accessibility Day from 6am to 9pm on Thursday 11 July 2024.
- Scott Centre Car Park - Access will remain to businesses and residents via the gate next to the Post Office on Howick Street when Church Street is closed.
Drop Off & Pick Up Zones
- A drop off/pick up zone will be in place on Church Street between William Street and George Street for Carer Gateway Accessibility Day from 6am to 9pm on Thursday 11 July 2024.
