Where is the Festival?
The Bathurst Winter Festival is held in Bathurst, NSW. The festival is located in the heart of the CBD across Kings Parade, Russell Street and Machattie Park, with the McDonald's Bathurst Ice Rink in front of the historic Bathurst Court House at 160 Russell Street.
Most Australians associate Bathurst with motorsports thanks to Mount Panorama, one of the world’s most famous racing circuits. It hosts a number of international racing events, including the Bathurst 12 Hour and the Bathurst 1000. When it's not being used for a race, the public can take a drive around the circuit with it open as a public road.
Bathurst is the oldest inland settlement in Australia and is a city of contrasts, from the heritage listed buildings and grand historical mansions to quirky bars and restaurants, modern accommodation and a host of arts, crafts and music events in the surrounding areas guaranteed to delight.
The city is also a university town with Charles Sturt Uni helping the historic NSW town stay relevant and move forward with edgy optimism and youthful exuberance. Mixing the new and exciting with its heritage is what Bathurst is all about – there truly is something for everyone here.
